Thankful Thursday

9 Comments/ 2315/ 0

Seems like the thing to do in November is to start a thankful list.  Many folks on Facebook are using that for their status each day in November.  Each day they state a different thing that they are thankful for.  Not a bad thing to do and I think I did that last year but this year I haven’t jumped on the bandwagon for some reason.

Don’t get me wrong—I am very thankful.  I have a lot to be thankful for, trust me.  I know it!  I try to live in an attitude of thankfulness. I try to appreciate everything that comes my way.  For example–today I am very thankful for Mike the electrician who came after working a full day at his regular job to finish up all the electrical stuff on the bathroom renovations.  I am thankful that by tomorrow we should be done with this renovation.  Friday at the latest.  I am thankful that tonight I do not have a massive headache like I have had the past two nights.  I am thankful that I will see my husband in 2 days.  See how thankful I am????  I really am.

I have had such an amazing life and it isn’t over yet!!! Today’s post is a little lame but hey—I am thankful that you are reading it!!! And a special thank you to all the Burrito Bikers who have commented!  You guys are a great bunch!  Leave me a comment and tell me what you are thankful for on this Thankful Thursday!

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
