The Book and Bee for Tea

6 Comments/ 111/ 2

A new restaurant has opened up in Hendersonville, North Carolina just 43 minutes from my home that is destined to bee-come my favorite place. The Book and Bee – An English Style Cafe and Tea Room is the perfect fit for me and my BBFF (Brevard Best Friend Forever) Beth and I popped over on Friday for a little lunch and conversation. Beth’s nickname is Bee and she is a lover of books and tea just like me so it was meant to bee. Okay, enough already with the puns, right?

Beth with the cute sign outside .

The Book and Bee is located at 795 Mountain Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791 and is the perfect place to grab a lunch or afternoon tea selection. Breakfast is not served but it is promised that it is coming. I would definitely go there if they offer a full English breakfast. Yum.

We were seated in the British room and it was all things Royal complete with Corgis which was perfect since Beth has a Corgi and of course, we have a grand Corgi, Penny.

They were paving the parking lot the day we were there so parking was a little interesting but we arrived early and were able to park and get a table right away. They do have outside seating but we chose to sit inside. All servers and employees were fully masked as well as customers unless they were eating. It was a very safe environment and I was so happy to enjoy my first official meal inside a restaurant after my second covid shot.

I tried to take pictures of all of the cute rooms and decor but it was difficult with serving staff and customers so I didn’t get a lot of interior shots but Beth managed to get a few that she shared with me so some of these shots are actually hers. Thanks, Beth!

It is the perfect little place, isn’t it? I am looking forward to going back often for tea and just the fun experience of being there. I felt like we really didn’t get to look around much as we were trying to be respectful and not take up too much time as it was busy. I think they will always be busy and that makes me so happy.

Favorite thing? Has to be the steps leading up to the porch. What do you think?

My kind of place!! I love it. The menue looks very English and I love the names of the dishes on offer. Hubby would love it too. I´m sure they will do very well and that you´ll be there often.
