The Day Jesus Came to Connestee Falls

17 Comments/ 116/ 0

May 7, 2018 Jesus came to Connestee Falls outside of Brevard, North Carolina.

And when I say Jesus I mean a truck with Jesus on the side of it.

Chris and I passed it when we were going out to the dump.  The weird thing is that there was a fire truck with lights going in front of it when we passed it right by the bridge that goes over our lake.  I saw the lights and slowed down but then I noticed the truck behind it.  When we passed I looked at Chris and said  “Do you supposed Jesus will still be here when we get back?  Because I would love to talk to him.”

We came back and no Jesus truck.  But it got me to thinking.

What would I say to Jesus? Oh the questions I have.

Why are there diseases that are robbing me of my loved ones?  Why can we not get along with each other?  Why are people just downright mean sometimes? The list is endless.

A little later I left to run into town to do all kinds of book related errands and lo and behold when I got to the gate I saw Jesus again.  Parked outside the East Fork gate next to the fire station.

But look what was behind it.

A garbage truck.

Now friends, that’ll preach as they say down here in the South.

Jesus takes all the trash in our lives and gets rid of it.

All we have to do is ask for forgiveness and POOF.

It’s all gone.

Just like that garbage in that truck will be gone.

I think I needed that reminder today and it came in a Christ Central Transportation truck.

Have you seen Jesus recently?

I love how God gives me these visual moments that just nudge me and reinforce my faith.

Oh, wow, goosebumps are rising on my arms. Jesus did talk to you. It was just a one-sided conversation. And you listened. Thanks for sharing this God moment with all of us and reminding us of Jesus’ love and God’s forgiveness.

Isn’t that just the best truck ever? And it just kind of slapped me in the face!

Beth, you rock, keep rocking! How cool is this? Very freakin’ cool. It’s so amazing how every once in awhile there will be a sign that reaffirms our faith. Here’s one. Well received sister!

Awesome! Jesus talks to us in so many ways if we just take time to be quiet and listen and observe. I love this post today, Beth Ann.

I’m so grateful when that happens to me too because the post just seems to write itself. Has to be God-inspired. And that in itself is so encouraging.

This is a common sighting here in Spain as Jesus is a common first name here. So we have Jesus’s Construction, Painting, Window Cleaning etc. It always makes me smile. I love your analogy.
