The Joy of Being a Grandparent

27 Comments/ 107/ 0

Everyone told us that being a grandparent is THE best thing in the world.

I have to fully agree with the statement. Micah and Wendy graciously accepted us into their beautiful home for 10 days of fun and Theo time and we are so happy that we were able to finally spend some quality time with him. Not everyone is able to say that their children are so happy to allow them to be a part of their grandchildren’s lives and I am beyond grateful for our time with the best little guy there is.

I don’t share pictures of him anywhere unless I ask permission. It is a weird world these days and I honestly would hate for anything that I share to be done in a manner that could harm him in any way. As Micah reminds me “The internet is forever.” Truth. It is a different world than when I grew up — that is for sure. But today I am sharing a few of the hundreds of pictures that we took over our ten day visit.

I think you will agree that he is the cutest little guy around.

We did a lot of reading and of course this is a favorite book. Who doesn’t love Brown Bear, Brown Bear?

We call him Smiley. He has THE best smile and uses it all of the time. What a charmer. He is the best parts of both of his parents.

Best role ever.

Already a selfie lover. Our little sweetie – we are totally and completely in love. Being a grandparent is absolutely THE best role ever. We are already looking forward to Gramma and Grampa Camp next summer.

If you are a grandparent what is THE best advice you can give us as new grandparents? Leave me a comment and remember that you are supporting this month’s Comment for a Cause — American Macular Degeneration Foundation.

I don’t share photos of my grands either without asking permission from their parents. I’m so glad you could share these of your super adorably cute grandbaby! What a smile! I TOLD you grandparenting is the best and I’m happy you are enjoying your new role. 🙂 ♥

We totally respect the privacy of the family — it is something that could cause a huge rift if we were not careful and there is no way I want to jeopardize our relationship. Thanks for stopping by and sharing our joy.
