Our recent trip to New York City had us pounding the pavement and seeing a lot of wonderful places and things. I am still amazed at how well the trip went and how truly wonderful each part of it was. The one thing I really wanted to do was to go visit The Morgan Library and Museum. Having recently reread The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christopher Murray, a wonderful historical fiction novel about J. P. Morgan’s personal librarian, Belle da Costa Greene , I really wanted to see where she worked and some of the collection that she curated. There will be another post on that later but because today is Teapot Tuesday I wanted to share a related post.
The Museum has an amazing gift shop (every place we visited did) and I was tempted to buy a lot more than I did but I reined myself in and bought a mug and some tea that was specially created for Mr. Morgan.

I brewed a cup of the tea and it is a man’s tea without a doubt. It has a strong smokey aroma and taste and is very strong. It will not be one that I drink very late in the day as I suspect the caffeine amount is pretty high but I could be incorrect on that. It is always fun to try new teas and find ones that are different. This probably won’t become a favorite and I am glad I bought a small amount.
So what are you drinking today? Do you have a favorite tea that is gracing your table today? I would love to hear about it in the comments and remember to Comment for a Cause for Copeland Oaks Library.
