Advent Brings Hope

4 Comments/ 235/ 0

It’s the first week of Advent and one that brings HOPE. This year has been so challenging. It has been chaotic and unsettling. It has been a time of separation and anxiety. It has tested our faith and our patience.

It has also been a time of hope. I have been able to see hope in the faces of all of the essential workers that I have come in contact with. It has been a time of hope when I have seen the outpourings of love in food drives and all sorts of collections that are helping those who are losing hope themselves.

Hope is what keeps me going. Hope gives me a glimpse of what is ahead. A vaccine that will help curb the spread and the effects of a deadly virus that has kept so many of us homebound. This gives me hope. Hope that tomorrow will be a better day with less worries and concerns.

God is the source of my hope. I pray that during this Advent season you experience the wondrous hope and promise from God that He is ever present and will provide for your every need.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.

Revelation 21:4

You know how I love that word, “hope.” Thanks for summarizing the meaning of that word in such a meaningful way. I hold the same hopes.

Amen! Our hope in the Lord is what keeps us going. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Hope is one of my favorite words because it is one of our many gifts from God. My heart goes out to the people you think they do not have hope. May God open their hearts and they let him in.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...
