Advent Brings Peace

11 Comments/ 70/ 1

Second week of Advent brings Peace. Something that our weary world needs so desperately today.

What does peace mean to you? For me peace is that feeling that I feel inside when all is right with my little world. It is the feeling of calm when there are no distractions and worries and concerns that are weighing me down.

Often I feel that peace when I am spending time in nature. There is something so calming and soothing about feeling that I am at one with nature. That feeling of peace and yes – usually quietness- is what keeps me going. That peace inside allows me to share that love of God that I feel and that gives me peace.

During this really challenging year of stress and uncertainty I pray that each of us feels that sense of peace that comes from God. Seek it out, my friends, and know that it is only a prayer away.

In case you need to hear (read) today — I love you.

I definitely feel peace when I’m out in nature. I went for an early morning walk at our local wetlands on Saturday and it was great, especially since it was still quiet, the birds just waking up and not too many people around.

I know exactly what you mean! It is the best way to calm the soul and just kind of get centered.

I think that is what I most love about living in the BRM….I can find calm by just going for s walk, the solitude can be so needed.

Yes! Exactly! The mountains are so beautiful and such a great reminder of how great our God is.

My feeling of peace starts with knowing that God is in charge. I feel His peace first thing in the morning when I awake- “Thank You for a new day!” And then again at bedtime-
‘Thank you for a great day!”

Love it and it is so true if we start and end the day with those prayers we can experience that peace.

You’re absolutely right in saying nature brings peace. That works for me as does prayer.

Peace in nature is wonderful. I also find peace reading my bible and devotions in sitting alone and just resting with the Lord. Also being with my husband talking or laughing too gives me peace. We can find peace in so many ways if we just take the time. It is very important for sure.

Peace is often found in nature. I also feel it in my heart when I am not worried about situations or relationships. It is when walking in nature that I can pray and share best with God and restore that peace in my heart.
