It’s been awhile but Chris and I took a short trip Wednesday to go visit one of our favorite spots just 10 miles from us. I have shared many times about one of the most perfect places to visit in South Carolina — Pretty Place at Camp Greenville. It is absolutely one of the most inspirational and calming places that I have ever visited and I have been anxious to visit. During the summer months they have closed the chapel to visitors due to the camps going on and during the rest of the year it is closed often for weddings and other events so it is important to check their online calendar to see when it is open to the public.

Fortunately for us, we both had a relatively free day and made the trip. When we arrived there was a group of motorcyclists on a charity ride along with several families and other groups who were taking pictures of the cross and the beauty of the mountains.

Everyone was respectful and taking pictures and just in the moment and then this happened.

The sweetest proposal for this couple from Kentucky — we all knew what was happening as soon as he got down on his knee and applauded when she said yes. I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
