Another Fama and PopPops Camp in the Books

Leave a Comment/ 9/ 0

Last week Chris and I had another Fama and PopPops Camp and judging from all we managed to pack into it – it was a success. We absolutely love being able to spend time with our grandson and while I don’t share pictures of him, I thought that I could at least share some of the things that we were able to do last week.

We joke about how he always brings the storms when he comes and last week was no different with several pretty serious thunder storms including one with hail. At least this year we didn’t have to get in the bathroom for shelter.

So enjoy a few pictures of some of our activities from the week.

Fishing was high on the list of activities that he wanted to enjoy with PopPops and they fished every day. Fortunately it paid off one evening when Theo caught a fish off our dock.

We did some baking and cooking together and have proclaimed Theo as the best pizza maker ever. He even rolled the crust out completely for this one. Yum.

.

.

One of the special places we took him this year was to the WNC Air Museum in Hendersonville. He loved seeing all of the planes hanging and proudly picked out a model of his favorite – a Blue Angels model – which we saw with him over July 4th.

.

.

We also visited Bullington Gardens and visited the Fairy Trail which was a lot of fun for him. The trail features tons of little doors to peek behind to find the hidden fairies.

.

.

Another day was spent at The Cradle of Forestry – his second time there. Of course we had a picnic lunch and he was an expert at finding mushrooms and toadstools on the trails. I might have 100 pictures of mushrooms.

.

.

.

We had a fabulous time with him and he was best friends with Misha who is missing him something awful this week. No little guy to play with has left her a little verklempt as she hangs out in her favorite pie box.
