I love a good art installation outdoors. In fact, I seek them out wherever we are. If we are traveling I always try to find the unique outdoor art in the places we visit. Whether it is the gum wall in Seattle, the decorated fiberglass peanuts in Dothan, Alabama or the quirky and weird Rancho Deluxe in Mason City, Iowa I am always on a quest.
Let’s go back to last week when I shared on It’s Just Life about the Blue Moon Beer Truck that has been stuck under an awning for a couple of months. You can read about that here. Just a couple of days after I published that post our local newspaper, The Transylvania Times, wrote an article about the very same thing. I am so cutting edge.
Today on a trip into town I passed the stuck truck once again and saw an addition to it. I circled back around later so I could stop and take a couple of shots for the blog. Of course I did. Because my readers deserve to be kept up to date on the latest news.
It’s difficult to read what is written on the hearts but some of them are empty. I suspect it is so others can fill them in. The ones that I could read said things like:
Thank you Nurses. Carry on Doctors.
To Elda, Love, Kevin
Thanks Teachers
To Mary From the Gang (and then something I couldn’t decipher)
To Joyce. Love, Frank

So kudos to the local “artist” who stepped up to decorate the eyesore and create a fun art installation. Hopefully they were safe when they did it as there are cones and tape all around to keep people away. What’s next? Maybe shamrocks?

An art installation! Appreciate the update.
Someone was clever!
I love outdoor art too. Which reminds me, I meant to go over to Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids last October. It’s a big sculpture garden and I was going to do it for the Walktober post…but couldn’t find time away from Katie to be gone long enough to get over there, wander, and get home. I still need to do that!
What fun. Thanks for sharing this update, making a difficult situation into something artsy.
What fun! People came up with a creative ideal for Valentines. Stay turned to what will the future hold for the truck. lol
“Found Art” indeed !
Well, it looks temporary enough to satisfy those who don’t think it’s cute & clever…
