Books .Books. Books.
They are everywhere and even at our vacation rental there are books overflowing. The condo has a book nook where people leave books to share and it is going to be organized before I leave. Just saying. It is a mess and how could anyone find a book when they are all in disarray?

Leave a commentHappy New Year! You sure got a lot or reading done! Thank you for the shout out for Cee
Thanks, Hilary. Of course Plan Cee made the cut! Loved it!
You did very well in 2017! Of course short stories count. They can be as hard or harder to write than a whole book sometimes. The two on your list that I just love are the Alchemist and The Four Agreements (one I often reread). I would suggest Perseverance by Margaret J. Wheatley. A lovely little book that I refer to from time to time with helpful vignettes and quotes. I know you will meet your goal for 2018!
Oh great! Thanks for the suggestion! I need that one! Going to go hunt down a copy now! You are THE best!
You are so welcome. I hope you find a copy. It is on Amazon I know and I have had it ordered in by my local bookstore as I’ve given it as a gift a few times. I know you will like it. xo
Found a used copy and already ordered it!
I just told Charli that she’s on the list. Woo hoo- thank you! And thanks for all the book ideas!
Of course Charli is on the list!!! Love her adventures because I can relate so well to them!! Happy 2018!
Wowie. That’s a lot of books. I finally was able to read two books towards the end of 2017 and actually finish them. I have a stack on my night stand that I started but never finished and not sure that I will. I love to read and will try to do more of it this year…
It’s a great escape for me and my life is nowhere near as busy as yours so I have more time to devote to it. When my kids were younger I did not read nearly as much so I am making up for it now.
That’s an incredible number of books to read. Wow.
Wow! That’s a lot of reading! Don’t know how you have the time AND blog as well as you do! I thought my goal of 45 books was ambitious for me! I’m going to look for you on Good Reads! ~ Lynn
Wow! That’s a whole lot of reading! You inspire me.
That’s quite a list! I should do that but it seems like a lot of work…on the other hand I might be surprised, either by how many books I read, or by how few. And it might help me remember the ones I read too. Hmmmm…
I started doing this a few years ago and it has helped me remember what I have read for sure. Which is a good thing since my memory is not always so good. 😊
I know I read a ton of books last year, but didn’t keep track of them. So with your post, you’ve inspired me to start my Books Read This Year list. I find myself reading a book title and not remembering if I read it already or not, so this will be very helpful to those of us who are just a tad forgetful. 😉
That is exactly why I do it . My memory is not what it used to be . So I keep track on Goodreads and keep a running list on my phone as well. Keeps me in line!!
Great idea, Beth Ann! I’m doing it!
Great List!! I tried reading Truly, Madly, Guilty this year, but I abandoned it in frustration at Chapter 7 because the author had gone on long enough about whatever happened at the barbeque without actually telling me what actually had happened at the barbeque! Is whatever happened at the barbeque worth picking up the book again?
Others from your list that I didn’t abandon include Running with Scissors, Three Weeks with my Brother, and Lab Girl.
I TOTALLY understand your frustration with Truly, Madly, Guilty. I stuck with it and it was a good book but not sure that you would think it was worth picking up again. I was not thrilled with Running with Scissors or Lab Girl but finished them. That’s why there are so many different kinds of books, right? We all have different likes and dislikes. Thanks for stopping by!
