Cat Appeal on Teapot Tuesday

13 Comments/ 2932/ 1

Teapot Tuesday features a cute little cat teapot today and I was over the moon thrilled to find this one.  I came home from being gone for 10 days to a stack of mail and boxes and one was a totally unexpected package from my nephew’s girlfriend.

Why would she be sending me a package?  I mean it is not my birthday or anything. So I ripped it open and found this lovely little girl inside with a note explaining that Kristin had found her at a thrift shop.  To make it even better the thrift shop raises money for animals so it was a win win in every respect.cat4I think this one is going to be one of my favorite ones because it came from her and because it is so doggone cute.  Even with the head off it is cute.cat1Look at that tiny little hole in the spout for the tea to pour out. Adorable, right?
I think this one is a pretty wonderful thrift store find and one that I will love to have in my hutch.

It also seems purrfect to feature this one today as I have had my friend Laura who blogs at Cat Tales With Laura on my mind.  She is facing some heath problems right now and could really use some extra prayers and good thoughts coming her way.  She would love this teapot and I think of her every time I see a cat which is quite frequently in my house.

Then Mrs. Tiggy-winkle made tea – a cup for herself and a cup for Lucie. They sat before the fire on a bench and looked sideways at one another. Mrs. Tiggy-winkle’s hand, holding the tea-cup, was very very brown, and very very wrinkly with the soap-suds; and all through her gown and her cap, there were HAIRPINS sticking wrong end out; so that Lucie didn’t like to sit too near her. – Beatrix Potter, English author and illustrator, The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle

Thanks, Marci! Probably won’t hear anything till later today but keep praying. It is going to be a long haul I think.
