I am feeling nostalgic today and perhaps it is the upcoming holiday season that is prompting that feeling. Whatever it is I had a little trip down memory lane as I found some pictures that made me smile.

Growing up we always seemed to have family photos taken for our Christmas cards. The one above is where I made my Christmas card debut as Baby Jesus. I don’t remember this starring role but pretty sure it was the best one ever.

As I looked at a few of our Christmas card pictures I had to giggle at the awkwardness of four children going through those different stages of growing up. Awkward is probably a nice term, right?

That was pretty much the last of my “cute” stage. Enter very awkward stage.

Like I said –it only gets worse. Cats were a staple part of our lives and I am not sure how they made this picture since they were outside cats.

This was probably one of the last ones that we had taken for cards. There might have been others but I have not worked through all of the pictures to find them. But you get the idea.

The pictures may not be great quality and the subjects not always perfectly beautiful but the memories evoked when I see them make me all warm inside. Isn’t that what Christmas is all about?
