Cozy on Teapot Tuesday

8 Comments/ 2256/ 1

Fall is in full swing even here in North Carolina.  It’s not all beaches and sunshine all of the time lately with what has seemed like unending rain for a couple of days but that just means it is time to pull out a fun teapot to brew up a nice hot pot of tea to enjoy, right?  teapot5

This cute Hall teapot was an eBay find and a great one at that.  Lately I have found some pretty amazing pots on eBay and while I have not bought them all it is fun to see what is available. Hall is one of my favorite producers of teapots mainly because they are based in Ohio and this one comes with a bonus—a cozy that keeps the tea warm. teapot4

The cozy is wool lined so that helps keep the pot of tea toasty warm on a crisp fall day when that is what I need to warm up my bones. teapot3

What a perfect eBay find, right?  I think you will agree that this is the perfect fall brewing  pot.

it is to be savored like a
seabreeze-whispered

dream…in the mysterious
blue minutes
before dawn

like a secret
infatuation…. like slow
languorous sips

of green tea… like a lingering
glimpse

a self-wrapped
paradise

like his name
upon my lips.

With it’s shell on it looks very 60’s or 70’s! I like it without the “bell”! Fun find!

I love the simple style. And that owl…too cute.

Thanks, Audrey. This is such a great pot–very functional and strong and this one looks as if it has never been used. The owl was a Hobby Lobby find I think but adorable, right?

What a clever idea for a tea cozy. Is the adorable owl a tea cozy too? One Christmas I made every tea drinker on my list a kitty cat tea cozy. My mother-in-law still has hers.

The owl is not a tea cozy but I would love it if he were. I love tea cozies and maybe that should be my next obsession??? ]

Thanks to you, I am learning that teapots and mugs can accessorize.

Oh that reminds me so much of a tea pot my Mom used to have. So cute and yet as you said, so functional. Wow, think I’ll look for one of those.
