The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway did not disappoint. Chris and I jetted off for a few days of California sun and fun and one of our bucket list items was to visit the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway . We got an early morning reservation and headed out before the temperatures reached the high 80’s. Of course, once we took the tram to the 8, 516 elevation the temperature changed dramatically.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The tram cars rotate on the ten minute journey up the mountain and it is pretty amazing to see the sights. Even though we were pretty crowded on in the car going up, the ride down was a better viewing opportunity and there were lots of oohs and ahhs.

The rugged terrain and the beautiful trees at the top were worth the admission price. We had planned to hike a bit but our inadequate footwear and the slippery snow changed our minds. I had not really planned on the snow issue if truth be told.

All in all a very good trip with lots of really amazing scenery. If you are ever in the Palm Springs area this is worth your time to check out and spend a few hours . Check out their website here for more information.
