For the Love of Books!

19 Comments/ 3301/ 0

It is no secret that I am a book lover.  I am not picky.  Any size or shape.  Any color. Any age. Any subject.  There is room in my heart for each and every one of them.

You may remember I joined in on a fun Mug O’ Comfort swap awhile ago and was thrilled to be a part of that swap.  The ladies at Chaotic Goddess are pretty wonderful about offering great swaps and this upcoming one is that I put on my calendar so I would be sure to not forget. Because it is all about books!!!

booksandbloggersJUNE14

There are some rules, of course, to the swap but they are easy and the great thing is that I get to pick 3 books for someone that I hope that they will LOVE!   A book I love, a book I haven’t read and a book that my book buddy wants to read = love for everyone!

If you are a blogger, a book lover and want to join in the fun you have until June 9th to hop over to Chaotic Goddess to check out the details and sign up!  Don’t wait!!!  Time’s a wasting!!!  🙂  The bonus is you get to “meet” another blogger who loves books as well and that my friends, is always a good thing!

In case you want to see my list of what I have been reading this year just click here to go to my updated 2014 book post! I am well on my way to my goal.

Slightly Savory Saturday returns next week!!!!!!

I am an avid reader and I like your list of books for 2014. I’ve never kept a list, but it’s a great idea. I am involved in several book clubs, and I love reading blogs, too.

Valerie–thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment!!! Love to meet other readers. My mom who is 84 has kept a list of books she has read since she was in college! Can you believe? I wish I was that disciplined but I have only kept track the past few years when I have gotten back into really reading all of the time. It is a great hobby! Thanks again!

Such a great idea — I really have to get back to reading more. I’ve been in constant catch up mode lately and things are only going to get busier when the kids are out of school.

Looks like fun! My plate is full right now but the book swap sounds like something to look forward to in the future and I do love to following your reading list. 😀

I can’t imagine that you have anything at all to do!!! 🙂 It is a fun little swap, though. I am always up for something like this.

What a great idea. We have a cool book swap in my neighborhood. It’s nothing formal, but when you’re done reading a book you can leave in the coffee shop’s bookshelf, and you can take one with you.
Have you heard about the Little Free Library? A great idea for places that don’t have neighborhood coffee shops. 🙂

I love your neighborhood idea. I tried to get to be a blogger who links up with Alpha Bits to do the Little Free Library on their dime. They didn’t want one in my area and wanted to focus on Des Moines instead. That made me sad but maybe someday I will do one on my own. They are an amazing idea.

Yes, you were always a reader. Before you even could read, you would get a book and sit and look through the book that you knew and would do your own style of reading.
