Garage Sale Find on Teapot Tuesday

22 Comments/ 3636/ 3

Everyone seems to know about my love of teapots.  Imagine that!  I guess my Teapot Tuesday posts have kind of given that away, right?  I have people that send me pictures of fun teapots they find on their travels.  It is very fun to see what everyone comes up with and what teapot finds they send my way.

A week or so ago I was out running errands and I got a message from fellow blogger (and upcoming Chicago trip companion) Loni who has a fun blog at Lifestyles of the Pantsless.   She said she was at a garage sale and there were teapots–lots of teapots.  Even better the proceeds of the garage sale were going to Children’s Miracle Network (I think).  So she texted me the address and since I was out anyway driving around I stopped by.

The one that caught my eye happened to be this cute set which actually has a music box in the base of the teapot.  It is the second teapot that I have that is musical—how fun is that?  It plays music when you pick it up if the music box is wound up. I think it was a great find and I am thankful to Loni for taking the time to let me know that there were teapots afoot in Mason City.  t1

t4Sweet little teapot set, don’t you think?  I love it.  Happy Teapot Tuesday everyone.

and you, you are a thousand miles away,
there are always two cups on my table.” – Tang Dynasty

Did you limit yourself to purchasing one teapot at this sale? I’m in your band of friends who can’t see a teapot now without thinking of you.

I can just imagine how nice it would be to have a teapot that sang for you while you are enjoying your tea.

It is a great find, especially with the cream and sugar to match and tea cups!! What song does it play? I also love the quote and will use it. Perfect for me being away from my tea drinking friends. (Although I am making some new ones here)

I have to go pick it up again to hear the song—-I honestly can’t remember but it wasn’t Tea for Two!

Cute! It is only fitting that you purchase every last homeless teapot in Iowa before you move away. 😉

I don’t know how you store all those teapots! And how are you going to move all of them?
