Getting Artsy on Teapot Tuesday

15 Comments/ 71/ 2

Who can resist an artsy teapot?  What I really mean is artistic.  Today’s teapot features one of Pablo Picasso’s most famous paintings . Petite Fleurs by Picasso is one of my favorites and I remember my parents having a print of this in their home.  It is the perfect adornment for a teapot, don’t  you think?

I love this one.  I have had it in my collection for years and it always makes me smile to see the bright colors.

“There seemed to be so many things that I needed, but I held myself in check and purchased only essentials – with the exception of one extravagance. I had determined that I would drink my tea like a lady, even in a log house; so I purchased a teapot and two cups and saucers of fine china. I felt somehow Mama’s mind would be much more at ease about me if she knew that I was having my tea in the proper fashion. After all, civilization could not be too far away from Pine Springs if I had such amenities!”

I can see why you love this vivid, joyful teapot painting. Does anyone in your family still have that print?

Oh this is absolutely wonderful!! One of my favourite pieces of Art and tea!!
(Also When Calls the Heart is a beautiful book series! I still remember when I received many of Oak’s books as a young woman and I have saved them all for my daughters.)

That is so cool that you have saved this for your daughters! There are just some things that it seems only right to save and your books sounds like just those things. Thanks for stopping by!

I don’t usually like Picasso, but this is adorable – perfect for tea on your deck on a beautiful sunny day!
