If Peeps Married a Cola

20 Comments/ 1014/ 0

I am usually up for any kind of tasting challenge. I think it comes from my days with the North Iowa Bloggers when we did taste testing of pizzas, Oreos and Lay’s Chips. We always had a great time and those friendships I made with those bloggers still remain.

When my son texted me a pic and link to the Peeps Pepsi, you know I had to investigate and since it was less than $5 for a 12 pack of small cans I figured it was a good investment.

Peeps are a staple from my childhood days. We loved the Easter treat and I still like the occasional Peep. They come in so many flavors and types these days that the plain old yellow chick Peep is almost a thing of the past. I have fond memories of Easter baskets with a couple of Peeps stuck in except for the one year that the ants beat me to finding my Easter basket. Ewwww.

So what does Peeps Pepsi taste like? I guess it is kind of like a vanilla Pepsi. It isn’t sickening sweet but it is plenty sweet. I don’t drink a lot of soda (pop) but sometimes the meal (pizza for me) warrants it and this past weekend that’s what we had so I popped the top of a can of Peeps Pepsi. (100 calories in this baby can and lots of sugar. Won’t be making a habit of drinking it.)

It was yummy and a fun thing to drink for a change. I live on the wild side, don’t I? So let’s share in the comments what your thoughts are on Peeps Pepsi. Have you tried it? Would you? What do you think? Remember that all comments made on the blog this month mean a 50 cent donation to our Comments for a Cause –AAUW Brevard Branch for scholarships for girls and women.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
