Pumpkin Spice 2017 – Part 1

48 Comments/ 448/ 1

Pumpkin Spice.

You either love it or you hate it.  Last year I found a few pumpkin spice themed items and shared them with my readers.  You can read that post by clicking here.

I had so many comments on that post that I thought it needed to become a yearly thing .  As long as new pumpkin spice items are out there I will bring them to you, my faithful readers.  Far be it from to keep you deprived.

This year there are a lot of the normal pumpkin spice themed foods and offerings.

First up some pretty normal items.  Food offerings with the pumpkin spice flavor are pretty common.  A pumpkin spice bar mix, scones and candies all with the flavor are pretty doggone appealing to me and all have been deemed edible.   Nothing too wild and crazy with these items that you could expect to be tasty.

Next up are some household items that carry the pumpkin spice scent.   Who wouldn’t want a nice pumpkin spice air freshener or a candle that makes the house smell all fall like?   The pumpkin spice soap is what Mr. Diamond has been using which might explain why I have been attracted to him post shower……

Next up are a couple of pet related pumpkin spice items.  I know you don’t normally equate pumpkin spice with animal items but here you go.  A sweet bag of pumpkin spice doggie treats and a pumpkin spice scented squeaky doughnut toy for Grandpuppy Penny.

The doughnut really smelled like pumpkin spice and Penny loved it.  So much so that when we Facetimed with Micah and Wendy we could barely hear above the loud squeaking.  Penny was not happy when they took it away from her as you can see in the following picture.

My final category today is pumpkin spice themed books.  Yes.  Books.  A fun little young reader book which found its way to the Little Free Library at the Whistlestop Market and a Sudoko book which found a home with my brother in law for his pleasure during his recent surgical recovery.   His reaction I am told was eye rolling.  I kind of agree.

So there you have my first offerings of pumpkin spice for 2017.  Stay tuned for another post at least.

Do you have any unusual pumpkin spice sightings?  I would love to hear all about them in the comments.  Every comment means $1 donation this month to UMCOR Hurricane Irma Recovery Efforts.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
