Something Smells Fishy on Teapot Tuesday

18 Comments/ 3131/ 0

Teapots come in all shapes and sizes and if you remember this fishy teapot that I posted several years ago you have a great memory.  I love the whimsical teapots that I have found in my travels and on various on line sites but I have to admit that this fishing creel one is one of my favorites.Fishing teapot

I actually have this one on display in one of the bookcases in the living room.  I think with a fisherman husband I felt that I needed to have that one front and center and since it is a fun one it makes me happy to sit on the couch and see those little fishy faces looking at me.fishingteapot2

How would you like a cup of lovely tea poured from this fish mouth?  I can’t imagine that any problem would not go away if you had a cup of tea from this pot. Take the top off and fill her up with hot water and tea and you have a fabulous brew.fishing teapot3Thanks for popping over today and sharing some tea love with me.  Don’t forget to Comment for a Cause .

The waters in the rebel bay

Have kept the tea leaf savor

Our old north-enders in the their spray

Still taste a Hyson flavor

And freedom’s teacup still overflows with ever-fresh libations

To cheat of slumber all her foes

And cheer the wakening nations!

-Oliver Wendell Holmes, Ballad of the Boston Tea Party

Though I’m not a tea pot collector I do have one that is shaped like a cat. It was given to me as a wedding gift 26 years ago and it sits in a place of honor in a glass fronted cabinet. You’ve reminded me to notice it more so that it can do it’s job of making me smile.

I don´t remember this one. It must have been before we connected. (before Andy the Armadillo). I love it! How this would impress your angler guests.

I think I am going to feature my more whimsical ones over the next few weeks. I am pretty much on repeats now but I guess that is to be expected after doing these since 2011……
