Spring is On My Mind on Teapot Tuesday

16 Comments/ 11/ 1

With the recent snow and cold weather I am wishing for a bit of spring.  The good news is that the days are getting longer and the temperatures were in the 50’s this weekend.  Our driveway is now snow free and my heart is happy.

This little tea set is one I bought in Raleigh when I visited Aaron several years ago.  I loved the strawberry theme and even bought the cups and cream and sugar set that went with it.

I think you have to agree that this one is super cute and it gives me hope that spring will be coming.   I did see a huge flock of robins in our yard this past weekend as well so there is hope.

Enjoy your day and know that spring is just around the corner.  At least in my mind it is.

“Two things consistently bring me pleasure: hot sweet tea and writing. Which is not to say that either are particularly good for me…I use entirely too much sugar and so far don’t find sucralose to be a good alternative. Also, writing is not a practice that engenders confidence. Quite the opposite. It’s about making yourself deliberately insecure so that you can write the next thing and have it be worth reading.

And that’s not even taking into consideration the business end of things, which can make you bitter if you’re not careful…

But I’ve spent my the bulk of my life to date figuring out the right mix of fat and sugar in my tea and also, how to get incrementally better (I hope…) at the writing, so I’m not giving it/them up!”

I love the fact that the teapot is all white! It looks so classy. Once January is over, Spring isn’t far away.

I like the all white of this tea set! We got rain too, yesterday, but snow is coming. Every year we have at least one, and often many moments when we think spring is right around the corner, and then we always, always, always, get slammed with more snow. This year it’s way too early to even try to fool ourselves into thinking spring is nearby. But I feel like that anyway.

I know it is way too early but for some reason I am over the snow and unexpected cold that we have had in NC this year. I am getting to be a real wimp when it comes to winter.

You and me both. Being I was in northern Ohio as a kid, I so enjoyed the snow. Now as an adult I still like the snow but these cold temps in the teens and single digits is a wee bit too much. Hurry spring!

I’m glad spring exists somewhere. 🙂
