Teapot Tuesday

21 Comments/ 3152/ 0

We found the perfect teapot in Travelers Rest this weekend and Chris got it for me for our anniversary.  I think it speaks to the recent times around the world.  Sometimes all we need is a cup of tea to make us feel better.

Sometimes when life gets too heavy a brewing a pot of tea and thinking about happy things can turn the day around.  Try it.  I think it might just work for you and today I plan to brew a nice darjeeling in my new anniversary teapot.teapot2Won’t you join me?  I am putting the kettle on right now. Bring your favorite tea cup and we will sit a spell on my back porch and talk of only happy things.

There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be much diminished by a nice cup of tea. ~ Bernard-Paul Heroux

That would be wonderful. We all need to take more time to enjoy the little things in life.

Of course, you need a Laura Child’s Teashop Mystery to go along with it. Every time I read her books I want to go brew tea.

I adore this teapot. It is perhaps my favorite of all those you have showcased for its artistic simplicity and the message (appearing as if it was typed on an aged typewriter).

This makes me think of Mma Ramotse from the 1st Ladies Detective Agency books. I love her feelings on tea, and how the quiet act of sitting down to a cup can clear the mind, and often make troubles seem so insignificant.
Looks like the perfect little teapot!

Great teapot. Who knew a good cup of tea could change the world’s ills. At least, our perspective of them. 😀

I LOVE this one. It might be my new favourite. Simple. Elegant. And with a very meaningful quote. Perfection.
