This cute teapot came from Ebay from my sweet seller whose mom had the massive collection. Who could resist this pastoral themed Sadler teapot? Not me! It is a lovely teapot which has never had a pot of tea brewed in it. I need to change that!
One of the shining moments of my day is that when, having returned a little weary from an afternoon walk, I exchange boots for slippers, out-of-doors coat for easy, familiar, shabby jacket, and, in my deep, soft-elbowed chair, await the tea-tray…. [H]ow delicious is the soft yet penetrating odour which floats into my study, with the appearance of the teapot!… What a glow does it bring after a walk in chilly rain! ~George Gissing, The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft, 1903

Leave a commentI love that teapot! The country life, oh yeah! Now if I could just have my rural home setting on the beach with the conveniences of a big city with no traffic.. 😀 Love those cows standing in the water, they love water too!
I love your dream! 🙂 It would be great to have all of those things on the beach. 🙂
I like Pix’s dream place, too.
Beautiful! I especially love the top of this one–the flowers. Now get to brewing, my friend.
Hugs from Ecuador,
Kathy
Thanks, Kathy! I think this one was a great find and it is going to be a favorite!
oops, and the spout! LOVE IT!
I think you need a cow to go with that tea pot! Pork chops with gravy for lunch! Very pretty tea pot–time to make some tea, homemade biscuits and pull out the jam you canned last year.
You are cracking me up. It is so doggone windy out today I just want to curl up and stay in a little ball with yes—a cup of tea by my side. No homemade jam today—-but I do have plans for a yummy supper.
I think this is my favorite of all the teapots you’ve featured here and it’s because of the cows.
The cows are pretty wonderful, aren’t they?
What a charming teapot. It sounds like Mr. Rycroft was having his tea made for him and served on a tray.. How things have changed. It is often my hubby who makes and serves the tea in our house.
What a wonderful hubby you have!!!! That is wonderful. I am the tea maker in this household and Chris will hear the kettle and say from his office “are you making me tea?” 🙂
That’s cute. It sounds like Chris does lots of other nice things for you though. it’s probably because my hubby is British and introduced me to tea, (also its the only time he gets me to sit down and spend a bit of time with him!)
Such a pretty teapot!!! Thank you for sharing 😉
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, Kim!!!
Beautiful teapot!
Thanks, Jeni!!!!
That is one fabulous teapot–my new favorite! I can only imagine the delight that flooded your entire body when you opened that package. All this talk about tea has me ready for a cup.
🙂 Me,too!
My favourite teapots!! I love Sadler.
I am not sure if that is because it is my late grandmother’s maiden name, and that’s who I would most love to be able to sit down and enjoy a spot of tea with. But she had a wonderful collection of their china teacups. I have a few items that were given to me when she passed. They are very special.
Oh I bet they are beautiful teacups and with such great memories attached to them. I do love Sadler —classic and beautiful. I have several Sadler teapots and love them.
Very pretty teapot! Have you been hiding from us Beth Ann? I haven’t seen much of you around lately.
I’m here! Been neglecting my buddies. I will put a stop to that! 🙂
This is such a pretty pot — almost too pretty to be used!
This one has never been used from the looks of it!
This is one of my favorite teapots, I like the colors, the flowers, the cows which all help make it beautiful.
Thank you!!!! I like it, too!!!
I especially love the colors…and the country scene. Very lovely Tea pot!
Thanks, Jackie!!!
I like this one! Course, anything with animals gets my vote!
Absolutely!!! Gotta love the animals!
Sadler. I went to Sadler Well’s theater last night in London. A connection maybe. I love this one. And it’s English.
I am sure there is a connection!
Very cute! It’s a good day to try it out, with our Alabama “blizzard!”
Stay safe and warm. Looks like a lot of folks are going to get lovely winter weather. 🙁
