Teapot Tuesday – A Bermuda Find

6 Comments/ 79/ 0

Today’s teapot is pretty special. I know that I say that about all of my teapots in my collection but this one really is.  I picked up this sweet little teapot on a trip to Bermuda. We had a 60th birthday trip planned for me earlier this year to Bermuda with the family that we had to cancel so I am feeling nostalgic as I repost this.  The really neat thing about this teapot is that it has a story.

Now look at this signature on the bottom of this sweet Bermuda teapot.

Yes, that would be THE Carole Holding. One of the things that Mr. Diamond did in the past was do a start up for a picture framing company.  One of the artists that they did framing for was Carole Holding in Bermuda.  They shipped pallets of her fabulous watercolors every year and he had many conversations with her husband, Joe, who did the managing side of the business. When we visited Bermuda I was looking for a teapot but had not found one within my price range that spoke to me. Until this day.

While we were in the shop we actually met Carole and that was really a special thing after all these years. Chris had done work for her but had never met her so that made the teapot even more special. Enjoy your fall Tuesday and make a difference today in some small way. I know you can.

I can see how this teapot is very special, and signed by the artist as well. It looks like a painting!

That is such a beautiful teapot and gives off such amazing summer vibes. Of course, the story associated with it makes it even more special.

This teapot sings spring. I enjoyed the story related to it. Stories make things more meaningful.
