Teapot Tuesday – Another Thrift Store Find

14 Comments/ 90/ 0

Teapot Tuesday does not always feature teapots that are perfect. Today’s teapot was a thrift store find for $2 because it was missing a lid. But it can still be useful and I love the way this one looks filled with flowers.

This teapot is really a sturdy one and it looks like it has hardly been used. Somewhere it got separated from its lid but it still can be a really useful. Fill it with flowers and it has a new purpose.

When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its fragrance,
There is solace in its taste;
And the laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
The world becomes a lovely thing!
There’s beauty as you’ll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.

    Teapots make the best vases!! Those darn lids always break first.

      It is often you find a pot with no lid in thrift shops. But there are all kinds of things you can use them for, right?

    That is SWEET! I love the “vintage-ness”! Beautiful with the flowers. And that’s a lovely poem, too.

      I really do love this one! It is perfect for flowers or anything actually –just not for tea brewing!

    What a great idea! And this is the perfect teapot for it. I have a glass one and the lid broke but now I may be able to reuse it differently. Thanks for sharing!!! 🙂

      I just moved it and freshened up the flowers in it and it still looks as lovely as it did before. My new go to vase!
