Teapot Tuesday Fit for Royalty

17 Comments/ 118/ 1

Did you hear the news?  There is going to be another royal baby in England.

Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan are expecting their first child in the spring and the world already has been struck with royal baby fever.  I must admit I am smitten with this couple and the news that they are starting a family tickled me.

So much so that it prompted me to pull out my “royal” teapot to celebrate.

This is a Sadler teapot and is numbered as you can see.  I have quite a few Sadlers in my collection but I am especially fond of this one.  I think anything with the Queen on it is a winner and this one is just so beautiful in so many ways.

Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday and enjoy a cup of tea for me, will you?

Lyrics from Cravin’ Melon (Red Clay Harvest) “Sweet Tea”
“Don’t try to offer me anything
What it comes right down to baby
Don’t tempt me; I’m where I wanna be
Cause on the eighth day, God made sweet tea
Certain things in life I like to savor
Watchin’ clouds and waitin’ on the rain
If you ever question my behavior
Just a taste will make you feel the same now.”

Europe is all abuzz with the news of a new Royal baby! A lovely teapot. I have a couple of Sadler teapots as well and we used to sell them in the gift shop.I pull mine out when my mother-in-law comes around for tea. xx

Because of your post, I brought out my favourite Sadler teapot and used it to serve tea for my Norwegian neighbors the other day. (along with a pear cake fresh from the oven which was rather yummy)

There’s just something fairy tale-like about the English royals, hmmmm??? And your sweet teapot is perfect! Hugs……………..(YES, hugs!)

Yes, I agree that the royals seem kind of fairy tale like at times. Just so far removed from what we seem to experience in the states but that is okay, right? It takes a lot of different things to make up this world!

The Royals have always been a favorite of mine. I think it really started with Princess Diana. I wish she could have lived to see how wonderful her sons are and she would have been a amazing grandmother. Your teapot is very charming.

I loved Princess Diana as well and I think we all were glued to the tv for her wedding back in the day. What a wonderful legacy she left for her boys and it is fascinating to see how they have grown up into such incredible young men.

Love it. I’ve been drinking Earl and Lady Grey lately and have been really enjoying it. One of those would be lovely coming out of your royal teapot. 🙂 I’m an avid royal watcher and Corey always makes fun of me for being so interested in all things Royal!

There is so much fascinating about the Royals, isn’t there? I am as well and just can’t get enough of them. Your Earl Grey and Lady Grey would be perfect for tea in this pot!
