I have one of the best husbands in the world — hands down. Today’s teapot has a story as do most of the teapots in my collection. The hummingbirds that have started to appear at our feeders again got me thinking I needed to bring this one back to share with my readers.
Before my father in law passed away I had been splitting my time between Ohio and Iowa in an effort to help out with his care and with my brother in law Carlton. Chris and I were able to move back into the family house for about 5 months after his death to take care of things but before we did that we had a little getaway to Chicago on the way home to Iowa.
It wasn’t a big trip but just a stop over for a couple of nights to kind of reset ourselves and prepare for what was ahead. We did some sightseeing and a little shopping and with that shopping came a teapot.
This one is most likely my most expensive teapot in my collection . I know it at least has carried the most expensive price tag.

Isn’t it a beauty? I have shared it before but it is worth sharing again, don’t you think?

I have not brewed a single pot of tea in this one yet and it resides in the china cabinet that Chris’s dad refinished which seems fitting. One of these days I will brew a pot and say a toast to my father in law in a fitting manner.
Do you put up hummingbird feeders? Have you had any visitors yet? Leave me a comment and Comment for a Cause for WHO COVID 19 Solidarity Fund.

I heard it before I saw it. And, you saw it first. We share the hummers.
That one is special indeed!
What a elegance teapot just beautiful. I do have a hummer feeder but I need to put it out. Maybe to tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me.
That tea pot is absolutely beautiful.
I love watching hummingbirds and will try to put up a feeder again when we come to the mountains. Haven’t had any luck with them here.
I love the idea of you having a special tea using this pot and raising your teacups in a toast to Chris’s father. That pot is art !
