Teapots Take Over on Teapot Tuesday

11 Comments/ 84/ 1

Last week I was honored to share some of my teapots at a special tea at our clubhouse here at Connestee Falls. About 100 ladies attended a tea sponsored by the Newbies Club and the Ladies Luncheon group. It was a lot of fun and I decided to just share pictures today of the event.

My big wicker teapot that I found in an antique mall in Mooresville
was a huge hit and the spot for many photos.
We even had a lovely quartet perform during our luncheon.
Part of the room that I could get into my phone shot from the stadium. Say TEA!
My neighbor Elaine and best friend Ann gave me moral support.
The organizers did a great job of setting up my teapots in a display.
I loved how they used teapots for centerpieces.
The tables were decked out with fancy sandwiches and sweets.

I did my little talk, took a couple questions and then answered a lot of questions individually as the ladies looked closer at some of the teapots. I loved being able to share them again and while I couldn’t take all of them, of course, I did take many of my favorites to share.

What do you think? Have you been to a tea like this anytime? Tell me all about it in the comments and Comment for a Cause for Find Your Anchor.

I love events like this. I once attended a similar event in Vancouver called the Bone China Tea, put on by the Osteoporosis Society of Canada. Tickets to the door prize were a $50.00 donation to Osteoporosis research, the prize being a trip to London for tea. And guess what, I won!! So I was able to treat hubby to tea in London and a visit to see his family. I’m sure everyone loved your collection of teapots. You look adorable with your treasures. xo

It was amazing and a worthwhile cause to be sure. When they called me, at work, I didn’t believe that I won at first. Yes, pinkies out!!

Wow! That looks like a very fun event. I didn’t know I was corresponding with a star! Seriously, it must have been fun to get to display so many teapots for so many people at once. When our daughter was about 6, we went to a tea party at a cute little restaurant with her girl scout troop for moms (or whoever they chose to invite) with their daughters. We all dressed up and I think the girls were given a chance to choose boas or hats to wear with their outfits. She loved it!
