The Apple of My Eye on Teapot Tuesday

24 Comments/ 77/ 1

A new teapot?

How on earth could that happen?

“Smile”

My sister gave me today’s teapot and I love it.  I have several other apple themed teapots in my collection but this one is so great. Part of what makes it great is that she rescued it from being sold at her church rummage sale.  Someone else could have bought it but she snatched it up for me before the sale opened.  Now isn’t that the best sister ever?

I absolutely love it and know that it will always have a special spot in my collection.  What’s the saying? One person’s trash is another person’s treasure?  Well, I have a treasure now.

“If there are no spots on a sugar cube then I’ve just put a dice in my tea.”
― Robert Rankin, The Antipope

How wonderful of your sister to rescue this teapot just for you. And it is a perfect little pot, sturdy and pretty, just like an apple. I love your display on the embroidered cloth along with the loaf. Would that be an apple loaf perhaps?

It is actually banana bread from some bananas gone bad…you know how quickly that can happen. 🙂 I am always making loaves and putting them in the freezer it seems.

Aren’t sisters great? My sis has gifted me with teapots she found at garage sales. So true that one man’s trash is another’s treasure. And the treasures mean even more when they come from a sister’s heart.

That is a wonderful thing that your sister does the same thing. There are so many teapots out there just waiting for new homes!

What a very thoughtful gesture! So neat to know a little of the history behind it, too. Yes, you will always treasure it among the others. Plus an added bonus is there: dishwasher safe! Yes!!!

An apple a day… Keeps the teapot full. What a cool snag, from your sis, who clearly has your back!

I drink all kinds of tea, Jessie. Trust me. I have a pretty wide variety but my favorite is probably darjeeling.

Apples and tea…I wonder whether people who’ve had to stop dunking doughnuts in coffee like dunking apple slices in tea?
