The Dreaded 404

22 Comments/ 3467/ 0

Ugh.  The dreaded 404 Message appeared on my blog.  After a week of relatively smooth transition to the new format 5 of my posts disappeared.  Nothing is refreshing.  They are nowhere to be found.Screen Shot 2015-01-04 at 6.58.24 PM

They are not in drafts.

They are not unpublished.

They are not in published.

They are gone.

They are not on the servers according to my son.

They have vanished.

Into thin air.

I blame sun spots.

Or something.

But just know that we are working on finding them and if we can’t I will definitely be reposting the Comments for a Cause post for January because that is one that needs to be there for life, don’t you think?

It just goes to show you that sometimes life is unplanned.  Sometimes 404 messages appear even if you are well prepared. Sometimes you just have to accept the message and move on.

So that is what I am doing.  I am still here although life has been a tad bit frantic lately.  More on that later .

Don’t give up on me—honestly–I truly believe the best is yet to come. Thanks for staying tuned.

I’ve tried and tried to leave a comment, but no joy. I keep getting messages that say, “You’re posting comments too quickly. Slow down!”

    Uh – ok!

I wondered what had happened because I got the email notification of a new post… and then WHAM — 404 Wipeout!! And I didn’t even laugh Because As A Blogger I KNOW!! ugh.. gggrrrrrr. I even created a special page that you will land on if you 404 on my blog — because there was a period of time when it happened so often, I thought people might as well get a chuckle. you can see it by clicking this error link

Ugh – I just hate technical problems and then no one knows what happened! They can’t explain it, can’t figure it out and just hope it doesn’t happen again! Good luck.

You seem to be taking this in stride. Your comparing this to happenings in life is brilliant. Brilliant, my friend.

so sorry to learn this. It’s a shame to hear about how your incredible talents got waylaid by technical glitches. I fight many technical issues myself and only can hope someone or somehow your posts reappear.

It’s all good. It is just odd and baffling to the technical gurus that do my blog work. 🙂 I have plenty more posts to write–never fear!

Ok, I wondered where you had gone…none of your posts are showing up in my reader and I thought maybe you were just taking a break. The only way I found you was by clicking a message of yours you left on another blogger’s site. 🙁 So…not sure how you can appear on my reader again as I don’t see a link on your site here to follow. (maybe I’m just not technologically savvy??) Anyway, I’m going to read all the ones I missed and get caught up!

Welcome back! It’s all that technological stuff that you “think” is all worked out but then you find out later it isn’t. I am slowly finding you guys that have been lost by the wayside. Thank goodness. I can’t lose you!
