The Red Fuzz of Life and More

8 Comments/ 2306/ 0

The past two weeks have been frenetic at times and laid back at other times.  As I was looking through some of my pictures I realized what an odd collection I had on my phone and as always—I felt that I needed to share said odd pictures with you.

This first set is of a condition that seems to have settled on our lives.  Yesterday I wrote about the dreaded 404 message and today I am going to share a bit about the Red Fuzz Syndrome.  Chris bought a sweet blanket for the bed and knowing my love of all things colored red he chose a red one to make me happy.  It did until……redfuzz

Everything, and I mean everything, is covered in red fuzz now.  We washed it once and it seemed to have had a mind of its own—meaning that it decided to shed on everything.  Things that have had absolutely no contact with the fuzzy blanket at all are now fuzzy. It is almost as if it has gotten into the air ducts or something but poor Chris is wearing red fuzz everywhere these days.

The lint roller can not even begin to make a difference.  4 sheets on one leg of a pair of pants.  There is no hope.  No hope at all.

Then there was our celebration on New Year’s Eve.  We had spent time at the beach and had eaten a very late lunch and did not really want a dinner.  So our celebration that night included the following items . Traditional?  No.  Delicious?  Yes.new years eveA couple of plane flights found me looking through the seat back pockets for the beloved Sky Mall magazine so that I could share more wonderful things for you readers to buy.  Alas there were none to be seen as the post holiday edition has not been released yet.  Imagine my surprise when I found this in my seat back pocket for my reading pleasure.

light readingI have to end on a positive note because that’s what It’s Just Life is all about.  Chris and I ate at TGIFriday’s in the Dallas Fort Worth Airport before we flew out and I was thrilled to find this on the table.feed a soldier

What a fabulous idea.  So many of our military pass through DFW Airport and what a fabulous way to recognize them and their service for our country.  Of course Chris and I had to join in and we addressed our gift to a Sailor because, after all, Navy is the best. (Right, Jake?)feed a soldier2

So there you go—random pictures from my phone from the past couple of weeks.  It’s been crazy for me as I am sure it has been for many of you and there is not an end in sight so I may be irregular in posting but I will be here, trust me.  404 error messages or not—keep coming back and check in please.

But before you go, if you have taken pictures over the past couple of weeks –tell me which one is your most random one or the one that makes you smile the most.  I would love to hear.  Remember all comments this month go to support our Comments for a Cause Blessings in a Backpack.

Ridiculous. And I have two “geniuses” who can’t figure it out. So who knows???

I was wondering what red fuzz syndrome was! Miss your Skymall updates. You always find the best products. And cool to see what TGI Fridays is doing. Back in the day, that used to be our family birthday party spot growing up.

I’d be taking that red blanket back to the store pronto. That amount of lint is pure craziness. I have towels that shed, too, which is a nuisance. They’re OK when I dry them in the clothes dryer. But when I hang them on the line, then the lint issue starts. So frustrating. I’ve found lately that the quality of fabric, no matter what it’s made into, is declining significantly.

How sweet of you and Chris to buy a meal and leave that encouraging note for a sailor.

I can completely relate to having lots of random pictures on your phone and I love this post! I sure hope you don’t mind if I “borrow” this idea sometime in the future! My Life is random a lot, so I find a deep draw to this post
