The Food of Nova Scotia

9 Comments/ 444/ 0

You know you love to see all of my yummy food pictures, right? I usually devote a post to sharing fabulous food that we have sampled on our travels and today is the foodie pics from our Nova Scotia trip. We did not eat any super fancy meals on this trip at high end restaurants but we did eat well. My goal to have as much lobster and fish as possible was achieved and now I am back to my meals at home which are high in chicken content it was nice to look at these pictures and remember the yumminess that I had experienced. Nova Scotia knows how to do lobster and fish.

No trip to Canada is complete without a stop at Timmy’s!

.

Next up – my first dinner in Canada was my beloved lobster.

.

Did someone say lobster roll?

.

I had some kind of fish multiple times during the trip –usually haddock but all tasty.

.

.

.

Crab legs one night.

.

Shrimp tacos is always a winner.

.

Shrimp is always a favorite.

.

.

A new to me dish that was not seafood but instead a dutch treat called pannekoek which is a dutch pancake. I got one loaded with veggies and cheese and had to share it with Chris because it was so big.

.

Dessert was not always something we got but if we did we shared and one night we got creme brûlée – one of my favorites.

.

Are you hungry yet? Have a great day!

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
