Please remember these brave men and women’s families in your prayers. I can not begin to imagine the pain and sense of loss they must feel at this point or when they got word that their loved one was a casualty in the Kabul bombing last Thursday.
While Chris served in the Navy we found a wonderful community of support and those friendships have carried through the years to today. I know that these families will be supported but death is not something that can ever be anticipated or welcomed during a time like this. Yes, they gave their lives for their country and are considered heroes but it is so difficult to be the one who experienced the loss.
Please remember today to say a prayer for those left behind, for the families and loved ones, the ones they served with who survived the bombing, and for our country.

Leave a commentSo very sad. I can’t imagine getting that call. My heart goes out to their families and friends.
Thank you, thank you for paying tribute to these young people who served and made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸
As you probably know, the young Navy man was from Berlin Heights, OH which is a small town (population less than 700) on Route 2 on the way to Lakeside.
Thanks and gratitude to you husband for serving…and to you!
So so sad. They were all so young. May they Rest In Peace.
So incredibly sad. They were all so young. I’ve been praying for their families. Also praying for our military members and country. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It’s heartbreaking.
Thank you for posting this, Beth Ann. My heart hurts, too, for these families.
I have no words. As a fellow military veteran’s wife, the pain I feel for those families is so very great, I can’t even express it.
Our forces give so much for us everyday. When ever I hear some being injured or died my heart ache for them & their families. May God be with them.
