What About Those Tea Bombs on Teapot Tuesday

10 Comments/ 81/ 0

I am always on the search for new fun things that are tea related. But then you probably already knew that about me, right? Give me anything tea related and I am happy as can be.

Recently a new fad has emerged which features Cocoa Bombs — little balls of chocolatey goodness that explode into a wonderful cup of hot chocolate when hot milk is added to the cup. While I have not tried them I have been intrigued. And then I discovered TEA BOMBS!

There are a lot of vendors on Etsy but I selected SugarBombsByCara to do my test run of the fabulous tea bomb. We had a little difficulty with shipping breakage but Cara was fabulous to work with and delivered replacements immediately. Trust me – these little gems are fragile and delicate and sometimes the USPS tosses packages around a little bit roughly.

I have enjoyed a couple of these little beauties already and they are a truly wonderful little pick me up. They are pretty sweet so I would not make a habit of having them as a regular thing but I thoroughly enjoyed the two I have enjoyed.

Easy to make – just place one little ball into a cup of boiling water and let the magic unfold. The outside sugary shell dissolves and the tea and flavors are released into the hot water to steep. I opted to strain the the finished tea for a tea leaf free beverage.

It’s fun to try new products and discover new things. I think these would be a wonderful gift for a tea lover out there. I think Cara may have her Etsy shop on vacation now but when she gets back up she is a great vendor to work with. Give her a look and see what she has to offer.

“This morning’s tea makes yesterday distant.”

These look yummy and fun! I like the idea of the chocolate bombs too. First I’ve heard of either of them. I always learn about something new on your blog!

Yay for tea bombs. Love the things people come up with. Will have to check out her shop on Etsy and order a few to try. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

It appears to be offline now so not sure what happened. I just was messaging with her over the weekend so she was not closed till I wrote the post. There are other places to get them but I wanted to give her some props.

I’ve never seen these before – they are pretty and look like a nice day brightener. We’ve been drinking a lot of tea this winter.

I didn’t realize you could actually drink tea with leaves in the cup. I would strain it, too. Glad you enjoyed this new version of tea.

Neat! I’ve seen cocoa bombs all over the place, but never tea bombs. Great find, thanks for filling us in.

I was intrigued until I read that they are sweetened! We bought some hot chocolate balls for the kids for Christmas and they both seemed to enjoy them.
