What’s On Your Camera Roll?

20 Comments/ 536/ 0

Another edition of what’s on my camera roll. What’s on yours?

Last week was rain, rain, and more rain. We had 5 days of pretty much non stop rain (not that I was counting) and I took this picture on day two of the deluge. Our back yard was a lake. I was wondering if it was ever going to stop but finally on Friday, we had a break in the rain. It still showered a little bit but not the day long downpour.

When the sun finally came out, Holly took full advantage of a sun spot as cats do.

Of course I was happy to have one whole afternoon to lay on the couch and read with this fuzzy friend.

That’s the spot!

We JUST finished up the AAUW Used Book Sale 2 weeks ago and already the donations are coming in. It’s a good thing because we can sell online at our eBay shop (ManyBooksLIttleTime) all year long. I went in to the Book Nook and our table was filled already with books to price!

This past weekend was Opening Weekend for the Brevard Music Center. Chris and I usually try to go to Opening Night and this year it was a fabulous production of Carmina Burana. Now I did not know what that was until I heard the first number O Fortuna (I will put a video at the end of the post for you to listen to see if you recognize it). We went early and enjoyed a little pre concert treat. The concert was truly amazing. So much talent in one place and we were thrilled to be there on opening night. They do it right there, let me tell you!

So tell me, do you recognize the first minute or so of this piece? I think the production at BMC was even better than this one. It has been used in many movies and as soon as I heard the opening I remembered it but just did not know the name. Have a great day, my friends.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
