Where Do You Keep Them All? Teapot Tuesday Reveal!

25 Comments/ 3513/ 0

Several of you have asked me repeatedly how many teapots I have.  I have still not counted although I suspect the number of teapots is upwards of 250.  I might be surprised if I counted them all.

Many of you have also asked where I keep all of my teapots.  Well, they are mainly housed in the dining room and entry way in china cabinets and on a massive buffet but you can also find them creeping into other areas of the house. I have them on the mantel, in bookcases, in my office, and even in the bathrooms.  Right now I have my Christmas ones stored to put out later but my fall themed teapots are hanging out on bookcases in the living room.

Here are a few pictures to give you a glimpse inside my house.

A tiny look in at the china hutch in the dining room.

I have a few more stored in the cabinets in the kitchen that are my brewing pots and a few more stored in the hutch bases as well as a baker’s rack full in my office.  Yes, there are a few but I am always excited when someone gifts me one or when I find another that is perfect to add to my collection.

One day I will count and inventory them all.  One day. But for now I will just enjoy them and continue to share them with you on Teapot Tuesday.  Next week I will share yet another one that has not been featured on It’s Just Life before.  Come back and make sure to leave a comment for Comments for a Cause.

Though I cannot flee
From the world of corruption,
I can prepare tea
With water from a mountain stream
And put my heart to rest.

Wow, Beth Ann, you really do have a collection! When did you start collecting? I do remember having tea with you in the Greenville days! Your house looks beautiful…and you look settled in! I still have boxes in the garage to go thru from our last move 5 years ago! lol

My very first teapot given to me really came from Linda Aaagaard ! You know how long ago that was, right? It was when they moved and she gave me what she called a “sporty” teapot. And we still have plenty of boxes in the garage. This weekend Aaron and a couple of friends are coming so we are going to knock out getting those moved to a better place!

I love teapots. There is something inviting and comforting about them. Do you have a favorite one?

Thanks for stopping by! I have a couple that are really favorites because of how I got them or who gave them to me or the occasion and I have a couple that are my favorite brewing pots. It is fun to see how many different kinds there are, isn’t it? I have been doing this post on Tuesdays since April 2011 I think and have not repeated any yet…..does that tell you anything? 🙂

Love the quote, Beth Ann! And your fireplace looks a lot like mine!! I have only one teapot but it’s a beauty from Teavana. I’ll show you when you come over.

When I see them all like this, wow, that’s a lot of teapots. But a girl can never have enough, right?

Someday I will get rid of them but for now I am enjoying them since I have space. I probably will be rotating them in and out a bit but it is all fun to see them and remember where they came from.

They really aren’t that bad. The ones in the hutches don’t need much and it is just part of the fun of handling them and seeing them when I clean!

Love your Tea pot collection and the way you have them displayed. My mother gave me a musical tea pot years ago. It is a pretty one. I have it in a box because I don’t use it anymore. I want to find a place to put it so that I can look at it.

Was it a chicken? I guess I just thought it was a bird but if it is a baby chicken maybe that explains my confusion. 🙂 I am a bit spacey at times.
