1000th Post!!! Let’s Celebrate!!!!!

30 Comments/ 4439/ 0

Can you believe it??? I certainly can’t !!! My 1000th post!!!   Woo hoo!!!!   And that means a celebration!!!!

When I started this blog way back in March 2008 it was just to chronicle our travel and our eventual move to Australia for the family and close friends.  What I did not know was that it would suck me in.  I would soon become addicted  passionate to write posts!   I have always dabbled in writing and while I know that I am not a real writer this has given me an opportunity to get some of that stifled creativity out of my body!!!   Well…maybe.  You might disagree with me as you read some of my archived posts!!!  🙂

So over these 3 + years some of you have stuck with me through moves, (lots of moves for my family!), birthdays, weddings, and life changes.  You have shared my love of Buddy and Holly, the death of Smiley, my love of making cards, my venture into Comments for a Cause, and of course my Tuesday offerings of pictures of my massive teapot collection!

I have met many new bloggy friends and have loved it.  If you want to know who some of my favorites are check out my Blogroll and you will see !   I have found friends near and far and reconnected with some friends from the past !   The internet is an amazing thing.  I love it!!!!

So celebrate with me and any comment today will go not only towards the Comments for a Cause for the month BUT I will be sending a prize package to a randomly selected winner!!!  No details  on what will be in that surprise giveaway but let’s just say—it will be well worth your time spent leaving a comment!!!  Love you all and comment away.  If you have a favorite post of mine over the years let me know what it is!!!

Thanks, Carl, for the kind words and well wishes!!! I was talking to our son last night and he was telling me that he had been telling his coworkers that I needed to come talk to them about blogging because I get more traffic and comments than they do on their blogs and they are supposedly social media folks! I think it is because I am not writing about “boring” technical stuff !!! LOL Thanks for stopping by to help me celebrate!!! Do you have that song stuck in your head now??? Gotta love Kool and the Gang!

Thanks so much! I was telling someone the other day that I followed a turtle blog and they looked at me like I had lost it!!! 🙂 But I love your turtles and you are such a great photographer–could it be because they are such great subjects??? Thanks for the comment and keep on posting!!! 🙂
