A Bit of White on Teapot Tuesday

Teapot Tuesday is all about my obsession with teapots and today I am sharing one that I got in a “lot” of teapots from a collector on eBay.  Sometimes the best things come in packages with other things and that was the case with this classic and sturdy white porcelain teapot that I got a few years ago.

It is a great teapot because it comes with a built in strainer and I love that feature in a teapot.

I don’t think this teapot was used too often from the looks of the inside but I love the simplicity and the sturdiness of the design.

Of course I am clueless as to what this says but I will work on getting a translation since I have a good source now.

I loved how my teapot looked nestled by my some of my herbs on one of my porches, don’t you?  Perfect for a pot of mint tea, perhaps?

Enjoy your day and remember that any day is made much better when there is a cup or two of tea involved.

“The leaves that remain are only a very small part of the tea. The tea that goes into me is a much bigger part of the tea. It is the richest part.
We are the same; our essence has gone into our children, our friends, and the entire universe. We have to find ourselves in those directions and not in the spent tea leaves.”

The teapot is simply adorable—but what caught my eye were those herbs! Love them!!! I sooo enjoy grabbing some fresh herbs to put in pasta or other dishes! Kudos to you for such thriving beauties!

Thanks, Renee–that teapot picture is from a few years back when I had just gotten some herbs started. No herbs looking quite that good right now, trust me! Bitter cold here in the North Carolina mountains and we are hunkered down under blankets eating drinking lots of tea!

I love this one. It’s simple and elegant and I feel I would use a lot since it looks sturdy enough to handle multiple brewings.

I like those teapots with a built in strainer as I use a lot of loose tea. The herbs look so healthy!

The strainer in a teapot always is a bonus in my opinion. Helps the whole brewing process occur –I do like loose tea in a pot better than using a ball. Lets the leaves unfurl a bit more or something.

Sturdy and functional (I too like the built-in strainer), this one is great. And even though it’s very simple, it looks great perched next to your herbs.

Although this is a lovely, streamlined teapot, I don’t care to see more white. I expect you understand why. 🙂
