A Week Off

6 Comments/ 194/ 0

I admit it. I have been a week off for a couple of months. For whatever reason I think that it is a week later than it actually is.

It all started several months ago when we talked about another beach trip. We usually do one winter and one fall one for the two of us and it was time to get one booked. We talked about where and when and what weeks would work and booked one. But for whatever reason I keep thinking it is before it actually is. I mean, I know the date, and yet it doesn’t matter.

The second week of the month is my “busy” week when I have quite a few meetings and obligations. I was rejoicing because I was going to be gone to the beach and wasn’t even feeling badly about missing those meetings. And then I looked at the calendar to put something else on it and realized….yep….. I was off a week. I still have those meetings and obligations because of the way the days fall in February.

We usually take some Hello Fresh meals to the beach to help with meals. It means I don’t have to shop for a ton of things and everything is all set and ready to go for however many meals I order. It’s just easy. But then this week I got a Hello Fresh order and I am certain that I skipped this week and had meals ordered to arrive next week before we head to the beach. Looking at my account I realized that I was a week off…again. Sigh.

I don’t know why 2023 has been so difficult for me when it comes to dates but just know if you ask me to do something you need to confirm that I am actually in the correct week. Because now I have a history of being a week off.

Have a great weekend, friends, and know that even if I am spacey at times — I love you!

To me, it seems like the holidays were wonderfully busy this year. We were all happy to get back to some kind of normal and we had more parties and events. Do you think that threw you off? For sure, you need a vacation!!

I think it’s the January blahs that contribute to a malady like yours. I’m discombobulated too and can’t seem to remember what day it is!

Many times, I have belonged to that club. Sometimes the world is just too busy for our minds. The good side we finally catch up. Have a great weekend.

I think this happens to the best of us. I sometimes do that to, especially when it comes to Ally’s school and activities schedule. I have to double-check everything the beginning of the week to make sure I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing! 🙂
