Another Blast from the Past

4 Comments/ 58/ 0

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. Trying to reclaim my house a bit and what a joy it is. Not. I have at least reduced the tower of books next to my bed and donated a bunch and prioritized reading the others. Progress comes slowly with me but my goal is to do at least one drawer, cupboard or pile a day. So far, so good. Where does it all come from?

.

One thing I found in my nightstand were copies of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test that Chris and I took at a church event in 2000. Why I was saving this is beyond me. Perhaps so I could write a blog post 25 years later? Who knows. But it was interesting to see these folders and pull them out and see what the results were.

If you are unfamiliar with this test, it was commonly (not sure if it is so prevalent 25 years later) in determining what “type” a person was. Introvert, extrovert, intuitive, feeling, thinking, judging, etc. You get the idea. You basically answered a ton of questions and the answers were scored and your consistency in areas came across and wa-laa – the results were tabulated and you arrived at your magical score.

I remember taking this and thinking “hey–that is the same question but worded a little differently” all the time I was filling out the questionnaire. That’s how they determine your consistency or inconsistency in answering questions. It all makes sense but I remember being slightly annoyed at it. Funny what you remember years later.

However it ended up, Chris and I both ended up scoring the way we anticipated and I am pretty sure you can figure out whose test scores are whose.

.

.

So did you ever take the Myers – Briggs? I would love to hear about it and remember to leave me a comment for our Comments for a Cause – Sharing House.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
