BAM! #BAMC16 That Is

22 Comments/ 3732/ 0

BAM Conference Color Alt 1Today I wing my way to Las Vegas for BAM –the Bloggers At Midlife Conference and boy am I excited!   Last year Sara of Travel with Sara and All In An Iowa Mom’s Day and Laura of Cat Tales With Laura I and were headed to the first BAM conference in Nashville.  It was the time of year when weather is a little iffy and if you remember we took a flight to nowhere basically.  I wrote about it here.

I was really bummed last year that I did not get to attend and I must admit I had a bad attitude about the whole thing but it was just what happens sometimes.  Fortunately this year they are holding it a bit later and in VEGAS!  Notice the exclamation mark –that means extreme excitement.

So what do I expect to do at BAM?  Meet a lot of midlife bloggers who have until now been only names .  The committee has worked really hard to bring some real talent to the conference and I can tell you that I know I am going to have a great time and learn a lot.  Everyone blogs for different reasons but it is so wonderful to be able to have the opportunity to connect with so many talented women who are my “tribe”.

Did I mention that there are some fabulous sponsors this year?  Take a look at this list of sponsors and I think you will agree that they knocked it out of the park with who will be helping make our time there fabulous.

The event is being held at the JW Marriott Resort and Spa and it is bound to be an amazing place.  I selfishly told Chris he could not come but I think he probably would have been able to find something to do if I had allowed him to tag along because it’s Vegas, baby!

I am going to meet up with Sara–my first North Iowa Blogger friend and cannot wait to be with her again.  It is hard to believe that I moved 8 months ago. But I am also going to make a lot of new friends which really excites me because I can never have too many friends, right?

If you want to follow along this weekend just follow #BAMC16 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram especially.  I am sure there will be lots of hash tagging going on.

Oh and did I mention that Friday night is going to be a Disco Party?  Oh yea, baby. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with to wear –I dare say it is going to be epic.

Come back next week and I will share a bit about the weekend –  or at least the parts I can share,  Because you know what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
