Bloom Where You Are Planted

8 Comments/ 102/ 0

See that cute little spruce evergreen whatever it is tree? It’s been growing for a couple of years.

I know we should take it down. But I just can’t. I love it.

Whenever I look out the back door or sit on the back deck I see it and it just reminds me that things can grow where you least expect them to grow. Obviously we did not plant this little guy. A seed got dropped there from some pine cone or a squirrel transported it and then it found a home and a safe place to grow.

Last December I actually put a few Christmas ornaments on it and it made me smile even more when I looked out and saw that little tree all ready for the holiday.

It reminds me of that phrase ” Bloom Where You are Planted”. It’s a good phrase to remember and I have focused on it over the years when we have moved. A positive attitude and outlook can make the difference and I have always somehow managed to have those. So when I look at that little tree I think of how often people are able to just simply bloom where they are and am grateful for that. Maybe I will just keep that tree there as a reminder that I can bloom wherever I am. What about you?

And that bent shepherd’s hook ? Thanks to our local bears I need to take that to the dump.

I have a few “bloom where you are planted” bushes and trees in our backyard. We had some coconuts sprout and root and I’ve left them be. And this other plant keep growing back even though it was removed when we first moved in because it was out of control. I just let it be.
I love that you decorated this spruce. It would make me smile too. 🙂

I don’t blame you for not taking that sweet little pine down. It’s showing determination to thrive (something we all need to practice) and I bet it looked so cute with Christmas ornaments on it. 🙂

I think that sweet little tree deserves to grow where it is. My granddaughter has one on her property and I named it Bruce (as in that´s spruce). It has stuck ans she lovingly calls it that all the time. xo

Such a cute little tree don’t blame you for not taking it up. I look at it as being planted by God. Like us hopefully it found it way.

That is one of my favorite quotes ever!!! I bet that little tree was adorable with Christmas ornaments. And don’t take the shepherd’s hook to the dump just yet….Chris may be able to bend it back in shape for you. Motor Man did that with one of mine that the raccoons bent. It took a lot of effort for him though – hard to believe those animals are that strong!

Love that darling little tree and that you decorated it with ornaments. What strength that tree shows.

You can probably straighten that shepherd’s crook by hand. I have several to hang feeders and planters in the yard and – not bears but raccoons – bend it over to get the feeders closer to the ground.

As your neighbor, I like looking at that tree! Keep it growing.
