Cats of Croatia

8 Comments/ 1893/ 1

Cats hold a special attraction for me.

I have always loved cats since my very early days when we lived on the banks of the Ohio River.

When we travel I seem to seek them out.  So it isn’t surprising that I found quite a few cat pictures on my camera when we returned home from our trip to Croatia.

This guy was hanging outside an open window in Zagreb .  He obviously was free to come and go and was the perfect subject for “Cats of Croatia”.

This pretty one just posed so perfectly that I had to grab a shot.

Then there were those who tried to get away from my camera.

This beautiful black cat was at our hotel in Dubrovnik.  He seemed to appear daily in different places.

Then there was this pretty one that was walking through the courtyard where Micah and Wendy got married.

And then at the wedding the original black kitty showed up again.  This time at the reception.  I think he just wanted to join in all of the festivities.

This guy was hanging out in Old Town, Dubrovnik.  Just taking a little catnap on a rooftop and soaking in the sun.

On our way to the Krka Waterfalls we spied this beautiful kitty napping just off the path.  He didn’t move a bit, just laid there and smiled at everyone as they hiked by.  And yes – I believe cats smile.  Just look at him.

The cat theme continued when we went to Paris and although I did not photograph too many on the streets we did go into a pet shop where this lovely creature was reclining on its own little sofa. Perfect spot for an afternoon nap, don’t you think?

We tend to find cats when we travel too, or maybe they find us. Of course, now that we have Dot, I tend to find dogs that look similar to her. All great pictures and of course cats smile!!

So cute. I have always like cats but I think, I’m most definitely a dog person… I love the coloring on the napping “wood” kitty. Always wanted one like that.

Dog people are good people, too! That is for sure. I saw a lot of dogs as well and I always ask to pet them!
