With a blog post title like that I know I had you wanting to read on. This will be a short one today but as often is the case it was inspired by something I saw on social media. Not sure who to give credit to for this pretty perfect meme but here it is.

Yep. It’s true. Anyone else agree?
Maybe it is an approaching birthday. Maybe it has nothing to do with that at all, but somedays I do feel my age and how I have slowed down. Chris and I laugh sometimes at how something we say or do is an “old person” type of thing but my take on it at this point is that I am just very glad I am here.
Old is a relative term. I do not think of myself as old at all although my 20 something self would have disagreed. Each day is a gift and one that I am trying to embrace a little bit more each day.
But honestly, do you feel a bit slower each day? Or is it just me?

Leave a commentI try to slow down but it’s hard for me. But I can’t do quite as much in a day as I used to. Some would say that’s a good thing. ❤️
Ha! That’s a good one! I still feel young on the inside…and I’m focusing on my health more and more…but I’ve come to realize that I’m old. Every day is still an adventure and a blessing!
I agree with you that it’s all relative. When I think back on how I thought of 40 year olds when I was younger I can only shake my head. 🤣
Somedays I get a lot of things done and other days not so much.
Somehow my body isn’t keeping up with my inner version of being a young person anymore! 😉 Definitely feel my age some days but I try to overcome that by staying active. It’s all about perspective, isn’t it?
Yes— it definitely is all about perspective.
Do I feel a bit slower? Oh, yes, I do. Aging is not always easy. But I’m leaning into it and especially love the part about becoming a grandparent.
Definitely not just you. Husband and I spread mulch for hours on Thursday and can hardly move now. Both of us were on the floor playing with puppy last night and neither of us could get up after. Puppy is perplexed by her old parents.
