Who wouldn’t want to drink tea from an elephant teapot? Nothing screams tea like an elephant, right?
Well I don’t know about that but I do know one restaurant we go to in Dothan has a whole herd of elephant teapots that they use to serve up some tasty tea. So they might be onto something that I don’t know about.
This teapot is full of fun and makes me smile when I see it. I think it was a Pier One clearance purchase years ago and it carries some nice memories with it as well as holding some wonderful hot tea.
Some of my readers comment that they can not believe some of the unique teapots that I have in my collection and I have to admit that I do have quite a few really fun ones. This one definitely fits into the “Fun Animal” category.
Hope that this post finds you all warm and comfy and if you have time today to brew a pot or a cup of tea please do.
A great idea should always be left to steep like loose tea leaves in a teapot for a while to make sure that the tea will be strong enough and that the idea truly is a great one. Phoebe Stone

Elephants are good luck. Herd….hahahhahhahah
One of my favourite coffee shops near my home in BC served tea in elephant teapots. I love it!!
Oh wow! That is very cool! I love the elephant teapot and have seen a lot of different styles which always make me smile. Elephants and tea don’t really go together but they do if that makes any sense.
It makes sense as a lot of tea comes from India and Sri Lanka where you will find many elephants, often around the tea plantations. Also J K Rowling used to write her early novels at the Elephant House Gourmet Tea & Coffee House in Edinburgh. I imagine her siting there sipping a cup of lovely tea, imagining wizards and magic spells. I am sure the teapot I was served my tea in at the place I frequented in BC was exactly like yours!!
I actually think this is a very cute teapot!
Of course, any time I see an elephant, I think of Tufts University and its elephant mascot. You need to find out the story behind those elephant teapots at the restaurant. Maybe take some photos, too. Inquiring minds want to know.
I LOVE this one so much since I love love love elephants and have a bit of a collection going. 🙂
When my daughter was 18 she asked for an elephant teapot for Christmas. I had never seen one until then and now I see them everywhere, and I love the fact my daughter wanted one!
We did find her one, by the way. 🙂 🐘
This is an adorable teapot. I love that it’s an elephant.
