Another post about things found in books. You know I love all of the great finds that we find in our AAUW donations. I haven’t personally found a $100 bill yet but maybe one day…
It is fun to see what people use as book marks and one of the most popular categories has to be recipes. Printed recipes. Recipes clipped from newspapers or magazines. Recipes hastily jotted down on scrap paper. Or facts about recipes. Here are a few of the recent finds.
This one looks tempting.
And how about a Mock “Champagin” by Verna?
Other markers are somewhat the more traditional ones.
.
How about this unique bill?

.
And finally my personal favorite from this latest collection— a perfectly preserved frond.

Are you tempted to try any of the recipes? Let me know if you do and how they turn out. Don’t forget to leave me a comment and Comment for a Cause for El Centro.

Leave a commentYou made my day! I love “Things Found in Books”. You could make a cookbook out of all the found recipes!
That’s very true! Some of those recipes are priceless.
I love the explanation of all the different fruit desserts. I have often wondered about the different names. You do find the coolest things in books!
Love when you post these. It’s so interesting what people use for book marks and what they leave behind.
I love this feature. My favorite this time: the bill. Great messages thereon.
Fun post! In my own books I have found bookmarks from the bookstore where my mom worked when I was growing up. So special.
It’s always fun to see the “finds” from books. I found one the other day tucked into a library book I borrowed and it fit me quite well so I believe I was meant to find it. You know how I enjoy finding covered bridges and photographing them? What I found in my library book was a lovely bookmark with colored photographs on both sides of it of covered bridges in New Hampshire!
That was the perfect bookmark for you! 👏
It is unanimous!! We all love this blog. Keeping them coming. I am definitely going to try the crab dip and maybe the mock champaign. lol
Keep me posted! I am craving that crab dip now!!!
Not tempted to try any of these, but fascinating that people use them as bookmarks. Maybe AFTER they tried them?
