Handmade on Teapot Tuesday

12 Comments/ 2389/ 1

Not too long ago I saw a really cute teapot set on Facebook that someone posted.  Now this set was not the normal one because it was not made out of china or glass or porcelain. This cute little set was crocheted.

Of course it isn’t a practical set for brewing or serving tea but it was so doggone cute that I tagged my niece Carla in the post. Carla is a pretty fabulous crocheter and I hinted that I needed her to make me one.  She responded that she would work on that but since the directions were in Russian it wasn’t looking good.

But guess what she gave me at Lakeside 2 weeks ago?  This adorable teapot and two little cups to match.teapotShe figured out how to do it an even if my pictures are not that great you get the idea.  teapot3What a sweetheart she was to make it for her aunty, don’t you think?  teapot2

I have the best family, don’t you think? While this set won’t really hold any tea it will be a great one to use to entertain any little ones that stop by.  teapot4

Having picked some tea, he drank it,
Then he sprouted wings,
And flew to a fairy mansion,
To escape the emptiness of the world….

Every time I see a teapot I think of you. I seem to like cake plates. I just added two from my Mother in laws.

I am so glad teapots remind you of me! It is a “thing” with me for sure. I love that you have some of your Mother in law’s cake plates as well. Now that is something I have not collected…yet. 🙂

These are adorable. It’s amazing what people can crochet! My grandma tried to teach me.

I really should try to learn but I never have had someone I thought would be able to be patient enough. 🙂
