Hot Dog Chip Taste Test? Say It Isn’t So!

18 Comments/ 3880/ 0

You guys know by now that I may not be quite right in the head sometimes.  I love to do fun and goofy things and taste tests with my North Iowa Blogger friends were always a lot of fun. Heck, taste tests of any kind are fun for me and I am always looking for the unusual and quirky.

It shouldn’t surprise you when I tell you that I found some more chips to try.  This time I found a bag of Hot Dog flavored potato chips in Winn Dixie.  Chris might have rolled his eyes at me when I put them in the cart and made some comment about “the blog” .  Hey – I have my peeps to keep informed on the latest and greatest, right?

My good friend Jeni of JeniEats.com has a fabulous video presence and she has done some pretty amazing videos on kitchen gadgets and food including some pretty fun Target clearance buys.  You need to check out her YouTube channel here   I will wait right here for you to come back to finish this post.

Thanks for coming back!

I decided to video my taste test so the video below will show you my candid and genuine reaction to eating both hot dog flavored chips and deep fried whole okra.  The video does not lie.

I know! I am a goof but it is kind of fun to do silly things every once in awhile, isn’t it?  Our world needs to focus more on fun chip flavors and less on Starbucks cups and politics.  Just saying.

If you want to check out any more of my silly YouTube videos you can view my channel by clicking here.

Don’t forget to comment — it all counts for Comments for a Cause –Lava Mae.

Thanks for trying the hot dog chips so we don’t have to. Was curious what that okra tasted like. Usually I like okra, but these might be too crunchy.

Keep the chips!!! I’m sure the ingredients list was long and unpronounceable!!!! I like fried okra (cornmeal coating…yum!) but would probably pass on those, too (love crunchy anything, though!). I’m totally tired of the Starbucks cup ‘thing’ but I do have to say I like the new DD “Joy” cups (although I’m still in “Holiday denial” about the shortness of days!! LOL!!!!).
32F and a bit frosty with a very ‘stiff’ northerly wind this morning…….ugh & sigh……..

I like crunchy anything as well. 🙂 But hot dog flavored chips obviously. 🙂 I agree about being in denial. I just want to enjoy each day. In Alabama and it is nice, nice, nice but cooler days this weekend I think. When do you head south? That has to be a great feeling knowing you have your place away from the cold! Hugs!

Hubby and I just saw biscuits & gravy potato chips and reuben potato chips at the grocery store last week. They stayed on the shelf. I’m just not as adventurous as you, Beth Ann!!

Yep—Jeni and I tried those this summer. Of course I did a post. They were less than impressive. 🙂

Hot dog potato chips. I would not even have purchased them so you are brave brave to buy and eat. They just do not sound good.

I have tried those dried okra. I bought them for my sister-in-law, who grew up on okra. I only tried okjra for the first time about a year ago, coated and fried in butter. I liked that, but not the dried variety.

As always an entertaining video. I like your hair style, BTW.

I don’t think I could try the hot dog chips. I am a basic Pringles kinda gal. But I’ll try any vegetable, and I especially love green beans and snap peas so perhaps okra would be more my taste.

Okay, I do miss hot dogs, but I don’t think I’d like the chip form. And the pickle aftertaste–groaster.
