Lakeside: A Few of My Favorite Moments

34 Comments/ 391/ 2

Today’s post is mostly pictures.

In this case pictures of my recent week in Lakeside, Ohio with my family.

Memories are always made during this week and this year was no different.

I posed for my great niece with balloons.

East Ohio Annual Conference worship services were a highlight of my week.

I got to meet a virtual friend, author Jena Henry, in person .  We had a lovely lunch and found out just how much we have in common.  If you remember I won a copy of one of her books and the rest is history.  You can read more about her here.  She was even more fun in person than on line.

And look at her adorable little car.  It totally suits her.

My siblings were all together for several times during the week and we managed our yearly picture .  All lined up in birth order, of course.

Of course there were a couple of ice cream visits and Chris cheating at the measuring chart like he always does.

Lots of fun time with Harper including selfies.

Harper loved Micah and Wendy’s dog, Penny.  Don’t you love this picture?

We missed my mom this year as she decided to not come but the “girls” managed a fun picture together.

Micah and Wendy (and Penny) came for the weekend to meet all the family that Wendy has not met yet.  We were so glad to have them and Chris caught them for this sunset picture at the Pavilion.

Sunsets were gorgeous as always.

The perfect week ended and I have memories to add to the memory bank.

See you all back here on Monday for the reveal of our new Comments for a Cause and the donation grand total for The Lakeside Fund.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
